ABOUT COMMONS

COMMONS is an independent shop located in the heart of downtown Corpus Christi, where brands that are local, owned by woman, and/or People of Color and large brands share a shelf.

Our hope is to a common space for all- for locals creating beautiful objects, for sustainable brands that are working toward better practices in their industry, for brands that were created by People fo Color and women. While our focus may feel scattered we believe that by investing in these specific communities we are able to be a shop that does good. We want to showcase the talent born out of Corpus Christi. We want to work towards a future that centers people and the environment over profit. We want to create shelf space, therefore invest, in brands that are run by People of Color and women in order to do our part in addressing the pay gap, and the gap in how much shelf space brands that are owned by People of Color are given in retail.
